Golf report

By my recent standards, I’ve been playing a lot of golf. I started off my golf in 2023 with that round in July on a business trip. Two birdies.

Then in November, I played my second round, at New South Wales Golf Club.

My first round of golf in Thailand in 2023 was on December 30. I made my first eagle of the year, won the match, and tried out a new eagle dance pose.

I had so much fun playing on December 30 that I spent much of the afternoon getting a Thai massage, then was back at the course an hour before sunrise on December 31 for my fourth and final round of the year. My caddy provided a lighted ball which I used for the first two holes.

It was easy to find my early morning drives, right in the center of the fairways. That form off the tee did not hold up, and I showed why I carry a 15.9 handicap index at present.

But I did manage to get one more birdie before wrapping up my 2023 golf season.

My 2023 golf report was simple. Four rounds, three countries. One eagle, three birdies. Three matches won, one lost.

I’m looking forward to some more golf in 2024. Maybe even try to bring that handicap down.
