Continuing research: the imbibing idiot bias

You will of course be familiar with the paper on the imbibing idiot bias. That is, people who hold an alcoholic beverage are perceived to be less intelligent than those who do not hold one. Kirk Fast and I decided to do some research in this exciting field when we met for breakfast at Salem’s Acme Cafe

Above, we perceive two intelligent male specimens. Below, with alcoholic beverage in hand, we also perceive two male specimens, with an intelligence level to be perceived by you, the reader.

I’m thinking that it was pretty intelligent of us to choose such a fine restaurant for our breakfast, and also to conduct such a cutting edge scientific experiment over biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles.
