That is the question many people are asking today after my photo was prominently misnomered at Sina.com. I was at the extraordinarily good Spring City Golf and Lake Resort Resort in Kunming this week to speak at the Turf Management – Best Practice III conference.

I was at the Philippines last week to play in the Founders Cup tournament at The Orchard Golf and Country Club. As sponsors of the tournament, Asian Turfgrass Center along with Bernhard and Company were able to enter a team in the sponsors division, and playing off scratch (I don’t have an official handicap at present, unfortunately!

Finding myself in the Philippines on Thanksgiving this year, I went to a christening party for the new offices of Golforce Inc., a company that provides golf course construction and maintenance services in Asia.

My unprecedented winning streak is over. Undefeated since April, I played this month at TAT Filipinas GC (below) in what we can call a no-decision and made a stirring come from behind victory at Thailand’s Muang Kaew GC later that week.

I was at Tokyo and Chiba last week to attend the Japan Turf Show and for the wedding party of my friends. Tokyo in November is a splendid place, and I experienced four days of sunshine and ideal autumn weather.

https://www.flickr.com/apps/video/stewart.swf?v=71377 Six weeks ago I saw the Air Force Thunderbirds on my rakish tour of Oregon, and I happened to be near Don Muang International Airport (DMK) at Bangkok yesterday when the very same Air Force Thunderbirds put on their impressive show here at Thailand, adjacent to (and very much over) the 2nd most interesting golf course at Thailand.

I remembered to bring my golf clubs to salubrious places this month, and in so doing I remained undefeated in 2009. This is a shocking run of good form. To begin the month, I played ten holes on the new Old Macdonald course at the inimitable Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon.

Rather than writing about the food (superb, healthy, and slimming) I ate on my recent trip, or pleonastically to describe the places I visited, this collection of photos will show the course of my week at Oregon.

This afternoon I discarded extraneous papers from my office and was surprised at the number of boarding passes I have accumulated over the past few years. The boarding passes (and these are only from the flights from which I had kept the boarding pass) of accumulated flights since 2006 covered my desk nearly two deep.

Mangosteens are well-known as “the queen of fruits,” and durian claims the moniker “king of fruits,” but what of the rambutan? Surely the rambutan deserves a catchy nickname as well?
